Eligibility
- Nationals from 31 eligible countries (e.g., Afghanistan, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, etc.) for social visits.
- ASEAN Nationals: Do not need a visa if staying less than 1 month.
- Minors: Children under 18 can apply if their Birth Certificate is provided.
- Applicants with valid passports: Passport must be valid at least 6 months from the date of travel.
- Nationals from Israel or North Korea (no eVisa issued).
- Applicants trying to apply from within Malaysia.
- Those not meeting document or eligibility requirements.
- Applicants with invalid passports (less than 6 months validity).
- Those trying to use expired or cancelled previous visas.
- Applicants who do not meet nationality-specific eligibility, e.g., Afghan nationals applying without visa Approval Letter for social visits.

If you are applying as an individual, you are not allowed to apply for an eVISA within Malaysia. eVISA must be obtained before entering the country. However, if you are an employer, applications can only be submitted from within Malaysia.
An eVISA offers a Single Entry Visa (SEV) for a single journey to Malaysia for nationalities that required visa subjected to eligibility of nationality for each visit and a Multiple Entry Visa (MEV) for multiple journeys for all nationalities EXCEPT for Israel and North Korea with 30 days stay allowed for each entry, provided that the applicant's passport remains valid.
